WELCOME TO BOMFEST
BOMFEST 2010 LATEST
BOMfest 2010 is planned to be held at Worsborough Mill on Saturday 17th July and will be offering camping to the public. After plenty of searching, the local council proposed this site to BOMfest after our initial enquiries were towards having the festival at Hoyle Mill. The new site at Worsborough Mill used to host an agricultural fair around ten years ago so has a history of events taking place there. The management have met with Noise pollution and Cultural officers onsite and agreed that the location is totally suitable and the management is now waiting until 10th March to have full confirmation that the site is a Goer.
This years entertainment is as follows:
Main stage (Outdoor - International/National & Local Bands)
Stage 2 (Marquee - National & Local Bands)
Stage 3 (Marquee - MCs, Producers, DJayz, Street artists)
Stage 4 (Dome Marquee - Acoustic)
Stage 5 (Marquee - Alternative, Childrens entertainment)
Stage 6 (Marquee - Manor house collective)

BOMFEST 2009
BOMfest 2009 started on rocky ground after changing site and moving up to Silkstone scout camp and having to go to the magistrates to fight for our license, but after all the distractions the management team managed to get the green light and BOMfest 09 was a goer. The weather had been hit or miss for the previous few weeks and the team were a little worried but on the day the sunshine arrived and stopped with us for the duration of the event.
This year's line up was a cracker with every band deserving a slot for the hard work they have obviously put in and other than one band, all artists and performers attended and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
This year it was great to have back Senser and Nick Turner and even though Back to the planet could not make it, Stevie wonders percussionist and his African percussion outfit certainly entertained the crowd with their colourful display of African rhythms and dance which was one of the highlights of the day.

M Zone, Strangenotes, Ground level records, Revolver, Celt Islam and local talent in the form of Miss B, DJ Time went down well and entertained the Urban area and the light show in the marquee was the best yet.
This year we decided to have a local bands stage in the form of S70 with Part time productions managing and it worked very well with a cracking show by local rockers Seventh son putting in the performance of the day and showing their professionalism and experience.
The community of Silkstone seemed to take BOMfest in their stride with no serious complaints received and with positive feedback from the parish council and Silverwood Scout camp committee. Thanks go out to them for their support.
And finally
Thanks go out to everyone who attended BOMfest 2009 and behaved themselves impeccably throughout the day.
