Seventh Son frontman absorbs the appreciation at BOMfest 2010

BOMFEST 2010 Well, well, well. What a fantastic day BOMfest 2010 turned out to be and before we here at BOMfest relay our version of events we would like to thank everyone who attended this years event and behaved  within the spirit of which the festival is held, thank you. Moving on to the day and we must firstly say thank you to the Worsbrough Mill and Park manager Richard and his wife who throughout have been nothing but a pleasure to work with.  It had been miserable weather all week but the pre festival staff plodded on in the hope that the weather may improve as the week went on. Even though we had had plenty of rain in the week, particularly Wednesday the land held firm for us.  Saturday Morning began miserable and at this point you've got to start feeling a little concerned....

BOMFEST 2010 Opened 15 minutes behind schedule due to a couple of sub contracting vehicles still being parked inside the arena and as we were trying to find the owners of the vehicles the growing queue started to get a little inpatient and so at 11.45 and under a grey, cloudy, drizzly sky the doors opened and BOMfest 2010 was officially opened to the public.  This years event was far more adventurous than in previous years with 8 stages showcasing some fantastic unsigned and underground solo artists, bands, and DJ/Producers whilst accompanied by a great audience to appreciate them.

BOMFEST 2010 The Acoustic stage was back this year and we decided to add solar power to its re introduction.  Floating Lotus provided the environmental friendly system and this is something BOMfest will be moving into in the future.  The line up was full of talent with top quality local representation coming from The Delicateers, Stuburt & Moon and Leon Odoherty.  The Crooked fiddle band from Australia took the headline slot and finished this stage in fine style and went down a treat to the flabergasted and enthusiastic crowd.  With their double bass, mandalin, violin and drums "The Crooks" flamboyantly and energetically put on a performance Barnsley will remember.

Tribazik from London impressed BOMfest with a splendid performance
