It was early days, but even then they had the seeds of the manic, unhinged live shows that have created their fearsome onstage reputation today. Inevitably Hooker Bentley (name now changed due to a legal fiasco) began to stretch out to London venues and with their second recording 'Now we're Making Friends' firmly in hand, began gaining the attention of industry folk.
Hauling themselves up once more to record more tracks (which took the form of 2003's 'See you when I see you' sessions), this was now a band firing on all four cylinders, refusing to compromise their sound and, if anything, pushing themselves to be that bit different from the bunch.
With new songs, a new CD (2005's Day Release EP) and new found fire in their bellies, the band have just about finished recording a bunch of tracks for the as yet titled first album (working title "Miles Underground") which they promise will show that they are very much still here, and still hungry for success
